FLO Mumbai, under the leadership of Chairperson Seema Saroj organised an engaging “Healing with Art” workshop at Art Therapy and Loft, Khar West, for 18 FLO members. Facilitated by Ms. Natasha Singh and Ms. Rina, artists and art therapists with over a decade of experience, the session explored art as a medium for self-expression, reflection and emotional well-being.
The workshop was attended by FLO Mumbai Chairperson Ms. Seema Saroj, along with Executive Committee members Ms. Upasana, Ms. Pooja and Ms. Jayshree. Through activities such as still-life drawing, rainbow painting, colour-based exercises, blind portraits and repetitive doodling, members explored creativity, emotions and mindfulness in a relaxed, judgment-free environment. The activities encouraged participants to reflect on their natural tendencies towards action, thought and feeling, while the doodling exercise offered a calming experience that supported focus and present-moment awareness.
Members also appreciated learning simple creative techniques that could be practised at home and shared with children and families. The two-hour workshop provided a refreshing and rejuvenating experience, demonstrating that art need not focus on perfection or creating a masterpiece, but can also serve as a tool for mindfulness, emotional expression and personal reflection. The session was conducted in collaboration with Social Scenes and Co, reinforcing FICCI FLO Mumbai’s commitment to holistic well-being and meaningful member experiences.
The workshop was a wonderful reminder that art does not always need to create a masterpiece; sometimes, its greatest value lies in helping us pause, understand ourselves, and simply feel better. FLO Mumbai members left the session lighter, refreshed, and rejuvenated—with new tools for mindfulness, creativity, and emotional expression.
