Objective
To build a structured, chapter-driven export ecosystem that identifies, trains, mentors, and converts FLO members into confident exporters. FLO builds globally competitive women-led businesses through knowledge, collaboration, policy engagement, and institutional partnerships.
Overview
FLO Exports Initiative strengthens the policy and ecosystem support for women exporters to enable them to participate in global trade. By improving export readiness, expanding market access, building entrepreneurial capacity, and creating pathways to international opportunities, FLO facilitates women entrepreneurs to scale sustainably, generate livelihoods, and contribute more meaningfully to India’s economic growth and global competitiveness.
FLO collaborates with government bodies, industry experts, export promotion agencies, and successful exporters to build a strong ecosystem for export readiness for women entrepreneurs.
Key Focus Areas
Market Access & Global Networking
Facilitating direct pathways to global trade through buyer-seller meets, international trade fairs, and trade delegation visits. Connecting women-led MSMEs with international trade networks, cross-border e-commerce platforms, and overseas distribution channels.
Export Readiness & Entrepreneurial Capacity Building
Delivering specialized masterclasses and training on export fundamentals, customs documentation, tariff structures, and international trade compliance. Upskilling women entrepreneurs on global packaging, quality certification standards, and product customization for international markets.
Policy Engagement & Advocacy
Collaborating with government ministries, statutory bodies, and trade councils to champion gender-inclusive trade policies and export incentives. Presenting evidence-based recommendations to streamline regulatory procedures, export financing, and trade barriers for women exporters.
Training & Mentorship
Actively identifying high-potential, women-led MSMEs and startups across FICCI FLO chapters. Pairing aspiring women exporters with veteran exporters, trade advisors, and industry experts for structured, one-on-one mentorship.
Institutional Alliances & Ecosystem Partnerships
Forging strategic partnerships with Export Promotion Councils (EPCs), financial institutions (such as EXIM Bank), and government trade agencies. Unlocking access to export credit, trade insurance, market intelligence reports, and specialized trade promotion schemes.
