Awareness Today, Healthier Tomorrow. Menstrual Hygiene, Breast & Cervical Cancer Awareness & Biodegradable Pad Distribution Drive

FLO Uttarakhand, under the leadership of Chairperson Ms. Tripti Behl, organized a valuable event titled The Awareness Today, Healthier Tomorrow. It is a transformative women’s health campaign led by FICCI FLO Uttarakhand, in collaboration with the Can Protect Foundation and Humans For Humanity. This program addresses critical, often stigmatised, aspects of women’s healthcare by focusing on menstrual hygiene, breast cancer awareness, and cervical cancer prevention.

Operating with a mission to empower women through education, the initiative bridges the gap between healthcare access and awareness across Uttarakhand. The campaign rolled out in structured phases throughout July 2026, beginning with its launch and initial community outreach on 15th July 2026. A major highlight of the drive took place on 26th July 2026 at the Mahila Ashram, Laxman Chowk, Dehradun.

This specific session targeted teenage girls, aiming to eliminate the deep-rooted societal taboos connected to menstruation. Following these impactful sessions, the month-long healthcare drive concluded its scheduled phases on 30th July 2026. At the core of the campaign is a commitment to breaking these taboos. Organisers host educational workshops that teach young girls and women proper sanitation practices, helping to prevent reproductive tract infections and restore personal dignity.

To support this cause practically and sustainably, the drive distributes biodegradable sanitary pads. These eco-friendly products ensure that underprivileged women have access to safe menstrual hygiene management without harming the local environment.
