Plantation Drive 2026

FLO Bhubaneswar organised a Plantation Drive at Gurudwara Singh Sabha as part of its commitment towards environmental conservation and sustainable community development. The initiative brought together FLO members and entrepreneurs with a shared vision of creating a greener, healthier and more sustainable environment.

The plantation drive aimed to promote awareness about the importance of trees, encourage responsible environmental practices and contribute towards increasing green cover in the city. The initiative highlighted that environmental sustainability is not only the responsibility of institutions and government bodies, but also requires active participation from citizens, businesses and community organisations.

FLO members actively participated in the plantation activity and planted saplings in the designated area. The drive provided an opportunity for members to come together for a meaningful environmental cause while strengthening the spirit of teamwork and collective responsibility. Participants also emphasised the importance of nurturing the planted saplings and ensuring their long-term survival through regular care and maintenance.

The programme reflected FICCI FLO Bhubaneswar Chapter’s broader commitment to supporting initiatives that create positive and lasting change within the community. By involving entrepreneurs and members in a hands-on environmental activity, the drive demonstrated how collaborative efforts can contribute significantly to sustainable development. It also encouraged participants to incorporate environmentally responsible practices into their personal and professional lives.

The plantation drive at Gurudwara Singh Sabha was therefore not merely a tree-planting activity, but a meaningful step towards building greater environmental consciousness. It reinforced the message that every individual and organisation can contribute to protecting nature through simple, consistent and purposeful actions.

The initiative also encouraged greater community participation in future sustainability programmes. The collective involvement of FLO members demonstrated the importance of partnerships and shared responsibility in addressing environmental concerns.
