FICCI FLO Bengaluru’s Social Impact Circle organised She-Shines – Etiquette, Grooming & Confidence-Building Workshop on 10 August 2026 at Vidya Centre of Excellence, Bannerghatta, Bengaluru. The workshop was designed to support 50 women undergoing makeup and beauty training by strengthening the professional, interpersonal, and personal-presentation skills needed to succeed in the client-facing beauty and wellness industry.
The session was led by Ms. Sonali Thambuchetty and focused on the importance of etiquette, mannerisms, self-grooming, dressing sense, and confidence in building a successful professional identity. While technical capability is an essential foundation for beauty professionals, the workshop highlighted that client trust and career growth are also shaped by how individuals communicate, present themselves, understand client expectations, and carry themselves in professional settings.
The participants received practical guidance on maintaining personal grooming standards, choosing appropriate attire for work, engaging respectfully with clients, and demonstrating poise during consultations and service delivery. The session encouraged them to recognise confidence as a learnable skill—one that can be strengthened through self-awareness, preparation, positive communication, and consistent professional conduct.
This approach aimed to help the women feel more equipped to represent themselves credibly, whether they work independently, join salons, or offer beauty services directly to clients. A key highlight of the event was the livelihood-oriented commitment extended to the participants. Sonali offered to onboard all women trained in makeup and beauty onto the Rayy platform, creating an avenue for them to become visible to prospective clients and explore real work opportunities.
This initiative has the potential to bridge the gap between training and employment by helping participants access a wider professional network and practical opportunities in the beauty-services ecosystem. In addition, a dedicated follow-up masterclass was committed for the Vidya Foundation girls. The proposed session will focus on refining technical nuances, fine-tuning participants’ skills, and helping them better understand industry standards and client expectations.
This continued engagement reinforces the workshop’s objective of enabling long-term career readiness rather than providing only a one-time learning experience. Through this initiative, FICCI FLO Bengaluru combined life-skills development with livelihood enablement. The workshop empowered 50 beneficiaries with knowledge and confidence while laying the foundation for greater visibility, employability, and professional independence in the beauty and wellness sector.
