FLO Bangalore, under the leadership of Chairperson Deepa Boopesh Reddy and the Executive Committee, hosted The Art of Reinvention, an engaging fireside chat with celebrated actor, entrepreneur, wellness advocate, and author Shilpa Shetty on 11th August 2026 at ITC Gardenia. The session brought together 330 FLO members for an honest and inspiring conversation spanning reinvention, resilience, entrepreneurship, wellness, motherhood, authenticity, and purposeful living.
Drawing from a career spanning more than three decades, Shilpa spoke candidly about entering the film industry at a young age without a defined roadmap and navigating the highs, lows, criticism, and moments when she was written off. Rather than allowing setbacks to define her, she described using them as motivation to become more self-reliant, learn continuously, and reinvent herself.
Her journey today extends well beyond cinema, encompassing digital content, wellness, hospitality, entrepreneurship, and investments. She shared that successful reinvention begins with authenticity—understanding who you are, accepting your individuality, and finding alignment between the mind, body, and soul. She also emphasised the importance of saying no to opportunities that compromise personal values and building brands that can ultimately become bigger than the individual behind them.
The conversation explored the realities of motherhood and work-life balance, with Shilpa offering an honest perspective that there is no perfect formula. Some days require professional priorities to take precedence, while others demand greater attention to family. The key, she emphasised, is to be fully present in whichever role the moment requires.
A particularly powerful theme was resilience. Shilpa reminded members that strength does not mean being unaffected by difficult experiences; rather, it means allowing oneself to feel, process, and eventually move forward. She also reflected on the responsibility that accompanies visibility and influence, encouraging women to use their platforms to create positive impact.
The event concluded with a powerful reflection on legacy—not simply what one achieves, but how one makes others feel. Her message of authenticity, kindness, resilience, and living in the present resonated deeply with members, making The Art of Reinvention a meaningful celebration of growth, courage, and the many possibilities that emerge when women give themselves permission to evolve.
Aligned with FLO’s focus on Wellness & Life Skills, Performing Arts, and Handloom & Textile, the session further encouraged members to use their influence responsibly, build authentic personal and professional brands, and make choices that remain aligned with their values.
