Empowering Women Today, Building Financial Confidence for Tomorrow

Two campuses, one shared objective — on 30th July 2026, FLO Lucknow conducted a coordinated financial literacy drive across Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University (SRMU), Barabanki, and Lucknow Public College, Gomti Nagar, reaching more than 200 teachers in a single, structured initiative.

CA Shraddha Kalani and CA Divya Indra Chatterjee led the sessions, focusing on practical financial fundamentals that salaried women often navigate without formal guidance. The discussions covered budgeting within a fixed salary structure, developing consistent savings habits, understanding tax planning based on income brackets, and making informed decisions for long-term financial security.

Rather than presenting these concepts as abstract theory, the sessions connected every topic to the real financial circumstances of working teachers, making the learning practical and immediately relevant.

The initiative also marked an important milestone for FLO Lucknow. Earlier this year, the chapter signed a notarised three-year MOU with SRMU, creating a framework for meaningful institutional collaboration. This financial literacy drive demonstrated how such partnerships can translate into tangible programmes and measurable impact.

The focus on teachers was particularly significant. Financial knowledge gained by an educator extends beyond her own life — it can influence her classroom, conversations with students preparing to manage their first salaries, and her family and wider community.

With more than 200 teachers reached in a single day, the initiative created the potential for a much wider ripple effect across students, families, and communities. FLO Lucknow demonstrated that its institutional partnerships are not simply formal agreements, but platforms for practical, lasting empowerment and measurable impact.
