FLO Jaipur successfully organised a Five-Day Women Self-Defense Training Workshop from 23rd to 27th May 2026 in collaboration with Rajasthan Police, Sambal Foundation, and the Nirbhaya Squad, Rajasthan Police. The initiative was designed to empower young women with practical self-defense skills while promoting awareness about personal safety, cybersecurity, and emergency preparedness.
The workshop witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 100+ girls from across Jaipur, who actively engaged in comprehensive training sessions conducted by experienced officers of the Nirbhaya Squad. The programme included practical demonstrations and hands-on training covering punches, blocking techniques, escape methods, situational awareness, emergency response strategies, cyber safety, helpline information, and everyday safety precautions.
Held under the leadership of Mrs.Vrinda Kothari, Chairperson (2026–27), FICCI FLO Jaipur, the workshop reflected the chapter’s commitment to creating meaningful initiatives that empower women beyond professional development by equipping them with essential life skills and confidence. Participants were encouraged to develop not only physical preparedness but also mental resilience, enabling them to respond calmly and confidently in difficult situations.
Throughout the five-day programme, the interactive training sessions provided participants with opportunities to practice techniques under expert guidance, ensuring they gained practical knowledge that could be applied in real-life scenarios. The workshop concluded with participants confidently demonstrating the self-defense techniques they had learned, reflecting the effectiveness of the training.
Certificates of Participation were presented to all participants in recognition of their successful completion of the programme and their dedication to learning valuable life skills. The initiative received an encouraging response from participants, who appreciated the practical approach and relevance of the training.
Through this collaborative initiative, FICCI FLO Jaipur, Rajasthan Police, and Sambal Foundation reaffirmed their shared commitment to promoting women’s safety, confidence, leadership, and community awareness. The workshop served as a significant step towards building a safer, stronger, and more empowered society.
