Financial Literacy Session for Soldiers’ Wives

FICCI FLO Pune Chapter, in collaboration with Nippon India Mutual Fund, conducted a Financial Literacy Session for the 100 soldiers’ wives at the Motivational Centre, BEG, Khadki. The session aimed to empower participants with practical financial knowledge, helping them build long-term financial security and confidence.

The speakers explained the importance of Systematic Investment Plans (SIPs) as a disciplined way to create wealth over time and highlighted the need to plan and invest wisely for retirement. A simple and relatable “separate bowls” concept was introduced to help participants understand how to allocate money for different financial goals such as daily expenses, savings, emergencies, and future aspirations.

The session also stressed the importance of creating an emergency fund to deal with unforeseen situations and demonstrated how small, regular savings can grow into significant financial security through consistency and discipline.

The interactive session encouraged participants to begin their financial planning journey with confidence, reinforcing that informed financial decisions today can create a secure future for their families. Also, it increased awareness of financial planning, disciplined investing, emergency preparedness, and the power of long-term wealth creation through regular savings.
