38th FLO Annual Session: Empowering India @75 March 30-31, 2022

FLO organised its 38th Annual Session on March 30 & 31, 2022 at Hotel Lalit, New Delhi. In sync with Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the theme for the Annual Session was ‘Empowering India@75.’ On March 30th, 2022, Hon’ble Vice President of India, Shri M Venkaiah Naidu addressed the members and stressed the need to fast-track empowerment of women educationally, economically, socially and politically for the nation to make further progress on various fronts. Shri Naidu also said that there was an urgent need to remove gender disparity in various spheres. “Everybody from the government to the private sector and civil society must join hands in empowering women”. On this occasion, the Vice President released the 38th Annual Report of FICCI Ladies Organisation. A policy document titled – ‘Women Leading India’s Industrial Outlook’ prepared by FLO was also released along with the Annual Report. On March 31, 2022, Smt Meenakshi Lekhi, Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture of India addressed the session. Smt Lekhi applauded the initiatives taken up by FLO towards the goal of women empowerment. A felicitation ceremony for the Past Presidents of FLO was organised to commemorate and celebrate their extraordinary contributions towards the growth story of FLO. Smt Lekhi honoured the Past President with a medal of appreciation and recognition. The Chairpersons of FLO & YFLO Chapters across India were felicitated for their outstanding work during the year 2021-22. They presented a report on their activities and initiatives taken up during their term as the Chairpersons. The National Initiatives Heads also presented comprehensive report for the year. In the ceremonial Change of Guard, the new leadership team for the year 2022-23 was officially announced. Ms Jayanti Dalmia took up the mantle as the 39th National President of FICCI Ladies Organization.
