Under the Nayi Disha initiative, ICECD, with the support of FICCI YFLO Ahmedabad and Riviera Infraprojects, successfully conducted a two-week Skill Development Training Program for Women aimed at enabling economic independence, workforce re-entry, and confidence building.
Held at ICECD Campus, Ahmedabad, the program catered to women from diverse age groups and life stages, including young aspirants, homemakers, career-break women, and senior women seeking renewed livelihood opportunities.

Training Tracks Conducted
1. Computer & Secretarial Training (25 Participants)
Participants were trained in:
- Computer fundamentals and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Internet usage and digital literacy
- Introduction to Artificial Intelligence and practical AI tools
- Secretarial skills including office etiquette, communication hygiene, front-desk handling, grooming, and workplace behavior
2. Beauty Parlour & Nail Training (25 Participants)
Participants received hands-on training in:
- Threading, waxing, facials, bleach, and skincare
- Manicure, pedicure, nail art, and grooming
- Hair styling, basic cutting, and massage techniques
- Client handling and career readiness
Implementation Methodology
The sessions emphasized practical, hands-on learning, live demonstrations, small-group practice, and real-world application. Dedicated trainers ensured personalized attention, while parallel classrooms enabled focused delivery of both tracks.
