Beyond Generations: The Strength of Legacy & Heritage

FLO Chennai, under the leadership of Chairperson Dr. Amulya Rao, hosted a meaningful dialogue, “Beyond Generations: The Strength of Legacy & Heritage,” focused on preserving and reimagining India’s cultural inheritance. The session featured Her Highness Dr. Radhika Raje Gaekwad, Maharani of Baroda, well known for her work in cultural preservation and grassroots women’s empowerment, in conversation with Dr. Preetha Reddy, former managing director of Apollo Hospitals.

FLO members learned about the evolution of legacy through conscious stewardship, thoughtful documentation, and relevance in a changing world. Discussions centered around carrying ancestral and business legacies forward responsibly rather than westernizing, and taking pride in Indian identity. Also, it emphasized building stronger bridges between traditional artisans and modern markets, ensuring that heritage crafts endure and lead the future.
