Shakti: A Conclave of Women Leaders Taking Centre Stage Globally

FLO Amritsar, under the leadership of Chairperson Ms. Tannya Khanna, marked a prestigious milestone today with ‘Shakti,’ a conclave that brought together some of India’s most influential female voices. The event served as the official launch for the 2026-27 term under the leadership of Chairperson Tannya Khanna, who introduced her vision of Navras: A Year of Harmony and Healing.

The evening carried a distinct sense of intent, blending artistic expression with thoughtful dialogue. The presence of Kiran Bedi, IPS (Retd) and Former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, elevated the occasion, her address reflecting a lifetime of discipline, courage, and public service. Speaking with clarity and conviction, she reinforced the importance of self-governance, integrity, and the responsibility that comes with influence—setting a powerful tone for the year ahead.

A highlight of the evening was a dynamic panel featuring four accomplished women from diverse fields—filmmaker Nitya Mehra, writer-actor Sukhmani Sadana, cardiologist Vanita Arora, and golfer Mahreen Bhatia. The conversation moved beyond conventional narratives, offering insight into resilience, creative expression, and the evolving role of women across industries. Their journeys, varied yet deeply aligned in purpose, reflected the essence of Shakti—strength expressed through individuality.

At the centre of the evening was Tannya Khanna’s articulation of Navras—a vision shaped with both sensitivity and structure. Her address reflected a conscious move towards work that is grounded and measurable. With a focus on dignity-led growth, she outlined initiatives that range from bringing 18 underprivileged girls into structured skilling programmes to enabling rural women to create eco-conscious products such as cow dung-based offerings linked to organised markets.

Her roadmap also reintroduces cultural intimacy through the revival of Baithak, while simultaneously engaging with larger concerns such as agricultural reform, including vermicomposting and efforts addressing stubble burning. The integration of enterprise platforms, digital learning, and sustainability initiatives reflects a balanced approach—one that honours heritage while responding to contemporary realities.

By launching the FLO Elevate Help Desk and the FLO Privilege Card, FLO Amritsar established a sustainable ecosystem that champions women-led startups and MSMEs, fostering a spirit of mutual success among our members.
