National Conference on Women in Leadership

Under the leadership of FLO Chennai Chairman Dr. Divya Abishek, an emphasis has been placed on empowering women through leadership, entrepreneurship, and professional growth. Guru Shree Shantivijai Jain College for Women, in association with IQAC, organized a National Conference on “Women in Leadership – Breaking Barriers & Empowering Change” at Om Shanti Auditorium. The conference was held to commemorate the 135th birth anniversary of Gurudev Shantivijai Ji.

The seminar witnessed participation from 35 colleges and a total of 475 attendees, including academicians, professionals, and students, engaging in insightful discussions on overcoming barriers and driving change.

Dr. Divya Abishek spoke about the challenges women face in professional and personal spheres and highlighted the importance of mentorship, financial independence, and resilience in breaking societal barriers. Her speech resonated with the audience, inspiring them to step forward as change-makers in their respective fields.

The conference was coordinated by Dr. S. Cecily and Dr. R. Gayathri, with Dr. M.K. Malathi serving as the Principal of the institution. Dr. Gautam P. Vaid, Hon. Secretary & Correspondent, extended his support to the initiative, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to fostering women’s empowerment through education and leadership development.
