MoU signing with PSGCAS

FLO Coimbatore formally renewed its Memorandum of Understanding with PSG College of Arts & Science (PSGCAS), reaffirming a partnership that has already yielded multiple collaborative initiatives on campus. The signing was conducted between Dr. Jayanthi M., Principal of PSGCAS, and Ms. Parnika Gupta, Chairperson of FLO Coimbatore, marking a continuation of one of the chapter’s most active institutional relationships.

The renewed MoU centres on three core pillars: student mentorship, internship placement, and entrepreneurship exposure. Alongside these, FLO Coimbatore will also roll out its digital literacy, financial literacy, and other relevant pillars and enablers on campus wherever possible, ensuring that both students and FLO members benefit from the exchange.

Under the mentorship pillar, PSGCAS students — particularly young women exploring career paths in business, the arts, and entrepreneurship — will continue to have structured access to FLO Coimbatore’s network of member professionals and entrepreneurs, who bring decades of combined experience across a wide range of industries.

The internship component formalises pathways for students to gain hands-on exposure within FLO member businesses, moving beyond classroom learning into real operational environments. The entrepreneurship exposure pillar reflects FLO Coimbatore’s broader push to encourage young women to consider founding and running their own ventures, supported by the chapter’s own track record in incubating and platforming women entrepreneurs, including through initiatives like FLO Bazaar.

This renewal builds on a partnership that has already been active through the year — PSGCAS has hosted several FLO Coimbatore sessions on its campus, including a panel discussion on MSME and export featuring industry speakers, and a performing arts panel discussion held at Podhigai Hall. The consistency of this engagement reflects genuine institutional commitment on both sides, rather than a one-off arrangement.

For FLO Coimbatore, the renewal reinforces the chapter’s strategy of building durable ties with academic institutions, reaching young women early in their professional journeys and creating a two-way exchange of value for students and members alike. For PSGCAS, the partnership offers 13000 students of PSGCAS consistent access to industry mentorship, skilling programs, and a direct line to Coimbatore’s broader business ecosystem through FLO’s member network.
