FLO Hyderabad, under the leadership of Chairperson Prathibha Kunda, organized a wedding hamper-making workshop focusing on upskilling women at the grassroots level. Held at NB Nagar Basti Community Centre, this workshop benefited underprivileged women as it equipped them with employable skills and supported them in earning a livelihood.
This workshop is a part of the Project WINGS initiative, which supports women by teaching them specialized skills in the wedding and allied industries. Trainer Rakhi Gupta led the workshop and taught the art of flower and bow making with fabric and ribbons. Ms. Aruna from Vasantha Keshav Rao Foundation helped in gathering the ladies.
The Mayor of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Smt Vijaylakshmi Gadwal, personally attended the session and gave a motivational speech for women to learn such skills and become financially independent. Other FLO members, Rashmi Doshi, Sreelatha, and Meenal Agarwal, also contributed to this workshop by helping ladies from the urban grassroots areas.
