FLO Ahmedabad, under the leadership of Chairperson Ms. Madhu Banthia, organized “Weaves of Grace – A Walk for a Cause,” a purpose-driven fashion walk which celebrated Gujarat’s rich textile heritage while creating meaningful social impact. The walk, held at Gujarat University, Library Ground, Ahmedabad, was conceptualised as part of Shishir Utsav.
Beyond the ramp presentation, it also served as a platform for weavers from across India to participate in a two-day artisan bazaar, curated at Shishir Utsav in collaboration with the Crafts Council of Gujarat and GLS Design School, bringing crafts, creators, and community together.
The session guided FLO women members to walk the ramp with confidence and aplomb, bringing grace, structure, and polish to the presentation. Meaningful and sensitive garments were designed for children with special needs, celebrating individuality and conveying the message that beauty lies in imperfection.
