FICCI FLO, under the leadership of 42nd National President, Ms. Poonam Sharma, organized a culturally-rich art walkthrough and conversation, “Tribal Traces – In Conversation With Sujata Bajaj” at Gallarie Romain Rolland, Alliance Francaise de Delhi, New Delhi.
Renowned contemporary artist Ms. Sujata Bajaj, well-known for her Indian Tribal Art, came up with her major abstract presentation titled Spacescapes for this special event. Sujata’s artistic journey is comprised of Indian thought traditions, from tribal art forms to ancient Sanskrit texts and the Bhagavad Gita, with European modernist practices.
A fine arts graduate from Beaux-Arts de Paris, Ms. Bajaj led a very interesting talk with the FLO members and talked about her profound six-year engagement with inner and cosmic spaces. The walkthrough and conversation allowed attendees to pause, reflect, and experience art as a contemplative and immersive process. Art lovers from Delhi witnessed this cultural gathering, which took them on a powerful journey through cosmic textures & vibrant abstraction.
The exhibition was moderated by Nisha Berlia, and the walkthrough was curated by Helena Bajaj Larson. Ms. Ritu Chagti, Governing Body member, FICCI FLO, served as the day chair who envisioned and initiated this engagement exclusively for the FLO members. Tribal Traces is a part of FICCI FLO’s efforts towards leading, influencing, and shaping narratives in culture, creativity, and thought leadership.
