Teej & Rakhi Fiesta

FLO Uttarakhand, under the leadership of Chairperson Dr Geeta Khanna and in association with Tanshi Arts Invogue by Smrity Lal, successfully hosted the vibrant “Teej & Rakhi Fiesta” at Doon Club, North Point, opposite Parade Ground, Dehradun. The two-day celebration beautifully brought together tradition, creativity, and festive cheer. 

The event was graced by Chairperson Dr Geeta Khanna, Senior Vice Chairperson Tripti Bhel, Secretary Smriti Batta, along with other FLO members, who together created an atmosphere filled with color and camaraderie. Highlights of the fiesta included engaging activities such as a fun Teej Quiz that tested members’ festive knowledge, a free mehendi corner where participants adorned their hands with intricatehenna designs, and a complimentary resin rakhi making workshop that encouraged creativity andpersonalized expression.

Adding to the festive spirit, prizes were awarded to those dressed in the best traditional Teej attire, encouraging everyone to showcase the cultural vibrancy of the occasion. The exclusive lifestyle exhibition featured curated stalls presenting artisanal treasures, designer suits and sarees, teeka thalis, unique rakhis, and hand-painted home décor, offering members a delightful shopping experience. 

More than 100 people became a part of the Teej & Rakhi Fiesta. They enjoyed the celebration and created unforgettable memories. The event garnered a good community outreach by reaching more than 500 people.
