Talk On Menstrual Hygiene And Distribution Of Sanitary Napkins

FLO Chennai, under the leadership of Chairperson Ms. Niyati A. Mehta, in collaboration with NIINE, successfully distributed 500 sanitary napkins to the girls at the Vocational Training Centre (VTC), an initiative aimed at promoting menstrual hygiene and supporting the well-being of young girls.

A special awareness session was held at the GH Courtyard, Anjuman e Himayath e Islam school, led by Dr. N. Nikanth Nasreen, who delivered an informative and engaging talk for the teenage girls. The session covered essential topics, including proper menstrual hygiene practices, correct sanitary napkin usage and disposal methods, the importance of staying hydrated during menstruation, and safe intimate hygiene habits.

This program provided the students with practical knowledge and confidence to manage their menstrual health effectively, making the initiative both impactful and valuable. Heartfelt thanks to Nabila Avais for coordinating this valuable collaboration and ensuring its success. Her efforts truly made this initiative impactful and memorable.

The program was attended by 6 FLO members, including past chairperson Parveen Pappa. Around 250 students received sanitary napkins and gained knowledge about menstrual hygiene practices and habits.
