STEM Spark: Young Minds Ignite Big Ideas

FLO Uttarakhand, under the leadership of Chairperson Dr. Geeta Khanna, organized an engaging session “STEM SPARK – Young Minds Ignite Big Ideas” at Rajkiya Kanya Vidhayalay (G.G.I.C), Rajpur Road, Dehradun. The initiative, led by Mamta Rawat under Women in STEM, was chaired by Senior Vice Chairperson, Tripti Behl. The session was facilitated by Neha Gupta, Executive Director, Tryfibox.

The interactive workshop introduced students to the concept of STEM, highlighting its significance and benefits in education, while also discussing the advantages of STEM learning in developing problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking skills. Students were also exposed to career opportunities in the growing field of robotics, sparking curiosity about future possibilities. 

To make the learning hands-on, the session included DIY activities that kept the young participants engaged and inspired throughout. The event witnessed the presence of FLO Executive Committee members – Senior Vice Chairperson Tripti Behl, Secretary Smriti Batta, Treasurer Harpreet Kaur Marwah – along with members Mamta Rawat (Women in STEM initiative lead), Gauri Suri, and Rama Goyal. The program was further supported by Art In Fact.

Through this impactful initiative, FLO Uttarakhand continues to empower and inspire young girls by igniting curiosity, encouraging innovation, and opening pathways to limitless opportunities in science and technology-driven careers. This informative and insightful session was attended by 125 enthusiastic students. Also, it touched the lives of 17,000 people, providing great community outreach.
