FLO Chennai, under the leadership of Chairperson Ms. Niyati A. Mehta, curated a 2-day trip to Kochi for its members to be part of the Kochi–Muziris Biennale 2025–26, India’s premier contemporary art event. Over 20 members joined this trip, making it a beautiful, enriching, and collective learning experience. The journey was truly stunning and inspiring, offering deep insights into contemporary art, culture, and new ideas.
This year, the diverse installations were based on the theme “For the time being” focusing on temporality and cultural exchange. The curator for the show was a renowned artist Nikhil Chopra. There were varied venues ranging from Historic buildings and public spaces in fort Kochi and Mattancherry. The installations were thought provoking and each experience reflected complex global and local narratives.
The Kochi Muziris Biennale was a wonderful networking, learning and empowering trip for the members. The retreat team at FLO Chennai meticulously planned each detail on this trip while considering the maximum coverage of the sites accompanied by a professional artist. Every detail was planned to include local food, authentic restaurants, shopping and a spectacular ride on the water motor. This trip was indeed a memorable experience.
