PROJECT SHREE SAKSHAMTA SERIES 2 (II)

FLO Uttarakhand, under the leadership of Chairperson Dr. Geeta Khanna and in collaboration with the Udgam Foundation, organized the second edition of SAKSHAMTA SERIES under the banner of Project Shree and Project WINGS – wedding initiative. Based on the theme- Empowering Skills through Floral Craft & Decorative Embellishments, the event was held at Akhil Bhartiya Mahila Ashram, Laxman Chowk, Dehradun.

The workshop aimed at empowering women through a hands-on training session in floral craft and decorative embellishments. With a focus on skill development, creativity, and economic empowerment, the session sought to equip women with practical, artisan-led training that could be transformed into viable income-generating opportunities.

The initiative was spearheaded by Ms. Tripti Behl, FLO Senior Vice Chairperson and President of Udgam Foundation, who has been instrumental in driving community-based development through craft and vocational programs. The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from 30 women, who engaged in learning intricate techniques of floral decoration and craftwork.

This interactive and immersive experience not only imparted creative skills but also encouraged the participants to explore the potential of these crafts as entrepreneurial ventures. Project Shree continues to reflect FLO Uttarakhand’s commitment to nurturing sustainable livelihoods, fostering creativity, and promoting financial independence among women.

Around 30 people participated in the 2nd Sakshamta series of Project Shree initiative. Also, this initiative reached 15000 individuals, recording exceptional outreach and engagement.
