FLO Kolkata hosted an insightful MSME Talk to highlight the importance of the MSME sector, legal frameworks, and entrepreneurial success stories. The event was held at Bhasha Bhawan and impacted 55 people. It brought together expert voices and experienced business leaders to guide and inspire members in their entrepreneurial journeys.
The session began with an address by Mamta Binani, an MSME expert, who provided deep insights into the legalities, policies, and opportunities within the MSME sector. She emphasized the importance of structured business growth and compliance for entrepreneurs looking to scale their ventures.
This was followed by a panel discussion featuring 3 accomplished women entrepreneurs:
- Jyoti Jain – Joint Managing Director, TT Ltd.
- Sunira Chamaria – Former Director, Damodar, Roopways, and Infra.
- Ruchika Gupta – President, Sanmarg Group, a leading Hindi daily in eastern India.
The panelists shared their experiences of overcoming challenges, navigating business growth, and breaking barriers in traditionally male-dominated industries. Members gained first-hand knowledge of the challenges and opportunities in the MSME sector. The discussion highlighted the importance of legal awareness, funding options, and scalability strategies.
