Led by FLO Chennai Chairperson Dr. Divya Abhishek and Skilling Vertical Head Ms. Vanitha Venugopal, the DeepTech Sensitization Program – Madurai Edition was conducted at Anna University Regional Campus, Madurai. The event participated by 250 students and researchers from 6 districts—Madurai, Theni, Dindigul, Virudhunagar, Sivagangai, and Ramanathapuram—provided them with insights into the DeepTech sector and its evolving landscape.
The program served as a crucial platform to foster collaboration between academia, startups, and industry leaders, facilitating discussions on emerging technologies, industry challenges, and the need for skill development among students and researchers. By focusing on Tamil Nadu’s Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, the event aligned with the broader vision of expanding technological capabilities beyond metropolitan hubs, ensuring that students from these regions gain access to advanced resources and industry networks.
The impact of the event was significant, as it not only raised awareness about DeepTech opportunities among young engineers and researchers but also strengthened industry-academia connections, paving the way for future research commercialization and technological advancements. By bringing together key stakeholders, the initiative accelerated the adoption of DeepTech in smaller cities, fostering regional innovation and contributing to a more skilled and competitive workforce.
