FICCI FLO, under the leadership of the National President Ms. Poonam Sharma, marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of the FLO Urban Skill Centre in its adopted village near Shiv Hanuman Mandir, Mathura Road, New Friends Colony, New Delhi. As a part of the FLO Urban Skilling initiative, the centre will train the underprivileged women in tailoring and sewing. Classes will be held for kids from underserved communities and will be focused on K-12 literacy and STEM programs for local youth. Also, cost-free meals will be distributed daily.
Tailoring Centre, Education Centre, and Ayurvedic Centre were inaugurated in the presence of Ms. Poonam Sharma, Ms. Anushree Mahajan, FICCI FLO Governing body Member, Ms. Pooja Chauhan – Initiative Head, Urban Skilling, and Ms. Nidhi Goel – Co-Chair, Urban Skilling. The skilling centre will provide industry-relevant skill development training, enhance employability and entrepreneurial capabilities among women, and support inclusive economic participation.
