Graceful Living: Workshop on Taking 100% Responsibility for our Life

FLO Uttarakhand, under the leadership of Chairperson Dr. Geeta Khanna, marked a profound beginning to its 12-month transformational course, titled “Graceful Living,” under the Skill Her Project and Health & Wellness Initiative. The inaugural workshop, titled “Taking 100% Responsibility for Our Life” was held at Sudhowala Jail, Dehradun.

The session was facilitated by life coach and motivational speaker Rama Chopra, who is also a FLO member. Also, it was co-led by Gurkiran Pathak. The theme of Session 1 was Graceful Living – Taking 100% Responsibility for Our Life. The workshop began with 30 minutes of joyful dance, raising energy, building togetherness, and creating a safe space for openness.

This was followed by a 45-minute reflective learning circle, guiding participants from blame to power and from pain to purpose. The atmosphere was filled with healing, hope, and transformation, leaving a deep impact on both the inmates and FLO members present. FLO Uttarakhand extended heartfelt gratitude to members Alka Kukreti, Ritu Giri, Rama Goel, Megha, and Kanchan Bhola, whose presence, energy, and contributions enriched the session.

This workshop is not just an isolated event—it marks the commencement of a sacred year-long journey of self-discovery, healing, and empowerment for the women inmates. The Second Chances Series under FLO’s Skill Her Initiative aims to instill dignity, self-awareness, and the belief that transformation is possible.

The workshop saw the participation of 55 women inmates, 7 FLO members, and jail staff—touching 65 lives directly. With a ripple effect calculation spanning six steps, where each individual influences five others, the potential reach stands at an astounding 1,269,515 lives.
