FLO Chennai Chairperson Dr. Divya Abhishek joined the occasion as a chief guest at a girls’ football tournament organized by Great Goals.
The event attended by 300 students was conducted by FLO members Ms. Priya Gopalen and Joint Secretary Ms. Sandhya Rajan, with the aim of encouraging young girls to actively participate in sports and break gender stere otypes. Dr. Divya Abhishek was invited as the Chief Guest. She reiterated that football, like all sports, serves as a level playing field where talent and determination matter more than gender, reinforcing the idea that girls belong in every arena, including sports. The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from multiple girls’ teams, each showcasing exceptional skill, passion, and sportsmanship. The event created a vibrant and empowering atmosphere, allowing young athletes to challenge themselves, compete, and grow.
