Gift Of Life Campaign: A Blood Donation Drive

FLO Bangalore, under the leadership of the Chairperson, Dekyi Yangtso Chawla, organised a blood donation drive, “Gift Of Life Campaign,” under FLO Kavach, a national initiative for ensuring women’s health and well-being across India. The program was hosted in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross and HKBK College.

As a part of Social Initiatives- Health vertical, The Gift of Life Campaign stood as a remarkable testament to humanity and selflessness, marking a day where compassion triumphed over comfort. This inspiring blood donation drive transformed from a planned event into a movement of empathy, resilience, and purpose.

Graciously hosted at HKBK Engineering College, thanks to the support of Iram Maimuna, the campaign showcased the collective strength of the community and youth-driven change. Led by FLO Bangalore’s dynamic Chairperson, Dekyi Chawla, and passionately implemented by the Social Initiatives vertical under the guidance of Vandana Sarin, the initiative was further energised by the tireless commitment of the Health team — Dr. Sunitha Venugopal, Dr. Vibha Shetty, and Deepti Aradhya.

The campaign became a beacon of hope, especially for women in medical need. Every unit of blood donated was a lifeline, a tangible expression of solidarity and care. The young donors didn’t just give blood; they gave hope, dignity, and a fighting chance to those in vulnerable circumstances.

200 young donors gave blood, impacting 400 lives. These donations specifically aided women in medical need, offering hope and healing. More than just a health initiative, this campaign reflected a powerful cultural shift, one where young individuals chose action over apathy and service over silence. It underscored the truth that when youth rise with compassion, transformation follows.
