Led by Chairperson Dr. Divya Abhishek and as an initiative spearheaded by Past Chairperson Ms. Meena Mohan and member Sakshi Sahoonja Anand, FLO Chennai launched the Geriatric Nurse Aid Course in collaboration with the Women’s India Association (WIA).
This initiative, attended by 40 people aimed to empower women from economically disadvantaged backgrounds by providing them with specialized training in geriatric care, equipping them with the necessary skills to secure employment and achieve financial independence.
Funded entirely by the generous contributions of FLO Chennai members, the program provided hands-on training in elder care, covering essential aspects of patient assistance, medical support, and emotional well-being. Marking the culmination of this impactful initiative, a graduation ceremony was held to honor the trained nurse aides. The event was attended by the Chairperson, Past Chairperson Ms. Meena Mohan, and Sakshi Sahoonja Anand, who commended the graduates for their dedication and hard work.
