FLO Bangalore’s Financial Literacy Vertical conducted an engaging online session on Zoom with Preetha Wali, Co-Founder of Pay It Forward. The session was centred around the theme “Rewrite the Narrative.” The session emphasised the critical need for proactive financial planning in the face of rising inflation, especially in lifestyle, healthcare, and education costs, which often outpace standard inflation rates.
Preetha Wali highlighted the distinction between insurance and investment, stressing that insurance serves as a protection tool during unforeseen circumstances. The session offered valuable insights into the types of insurance to consider, eligibility criteria, and the importance of choosing the right coverage.
Another focal point was legacy planning, where Preetha underlined its importance not only in ensuring that assets reach the intended beneficiaries but also in facilitating a smooth and efficient asset transfer process. The session debunked common myths around nominations and clarified the roles of Wills and legal heirs in succession planning.
A total of 85 participants attended the impactful session related to financial and succession planning. FLO Bangalore continues to champion financial literacy as a core focus. With over 550 members, the Financial Literacy Vertical remains committed to empowering women with the knowledge and tools to take control of their financial well-being and secure their future.
