FICCI FLO Signed An MoU With Empower Panchayat

FICCI FLO, under the leadership of the 42nd President, Ms. Poonam Sharma, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Empower Panchayat to foster women-led Panchayat transformation across states.

Empower Panchayat is an impact-driven initiative that focuses on enhancing rural governance through capacity building, digital innovation, and academic rigor. The initiative strengthens inclusive and sustainable development at the Gram Panchayat level by improving basic amenities and social protection in the rural areas.

The MoU signing occurred in the presence of Ms. Poonam Sharma, Ms. Amit Shukla, founder of Empower Panchayat, Ms. Aarti Gupta, Initiative Lead of FLO Policy and Advocacy, Ms. Ritika Sarna, Initiative Lead of FLO Women in Leadership Roles, and Ms. Priyanka Gulati, Co-Chair of FLO Financial Literacy initiative.

Under this partnership, a 15-day program will be launched for the capacity building of Gram Pradhans and elected representatives across FLO chapters. Its modules will focus on constitutional amendments, ground panchayat functions, and practical tasks, like meeting voters and conducting surveys.

There will be around 5 LMS-based modules and 4 live Zoom sessions led by successful female Gram Pradhans. Participants will get access to the Empower Panchayat LMS and the Panchayat Mitra AI bot for governance assistance. This initiative will focus on strengthening governance in gram panchayats using digital governance systems like Digital Gram Sabhas, self-paced learning, and expert interaction.

Participants will receive learning resources post-training. This partnership showcases the commitment of FICCI FLO towards strengthening women-led development and grassroots governance across multiple states.
