FLO Bangalore, in collaboration with the Karnataka Government Department of Social Welfare, and KRIES successfully hosted a powerful Women’s Health Awareness Program at Ambedkar Bhavan, Bengaluru. The event was led by the Social Initiatives cell, chaired by Vandana Sarin and executed by the Health Vertical under Dr. Sunita Venugopal. Also, this program is a part of FLO Kavach, a national initiative for ensuring women’s health and well-being across India.
Key Highlights and Partnerships
The program featured impactful health talks by FLO Bangalore members who are renowned experts:
- Dr. Vibha Shetty – Dental hygiene and oral care
- Shalini Manglani – Nutrition, healthy eating & lifestyle changes
- Dr. Sunita Venugopal – Cervical health awareness and screening

Practical value was added through free dental screenings provided by KLE Dental Hospital. Cervical screening was enabled by Gullab Sevaa and the distribution of Nari-Yari menstrual cups, promoting sustainable menstrual health. Special thanks were extended to Dr. Vibha Shetty for initiating this crucial collaboration.
Also, another significant moment of the day was the signing of a landmark WayForward MoU in the presence of the Honourable Minister of Social Welfare, Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa and senior government dignitaries. This agreement symbolises a deeper commitment to women through skilling, health, education, and financial literacy. The entire event was fully funded by the Government, providing FICCI FLO with exceptional visibility and credibility.
This landmark collaboration sets a powerful precedent, demonstrating the tangible impact of purposeful partnerships in creating real, lasting change for women. Women’s Health Awareness Program saw an overwhelming participation of 700 women, including 500 lady government teachers and 200 senior girl students from government schools. As stated by Dekyi Yangtso Chawla, Chairperson 2025-26, FICCI FLO Bengaluru, the organisation looks forward to continued progress, “Onwards & Upwards always.”
