Coffee & Conversations on Paithani

FLO Ahmedabad, under the leadership of Chairperson Ms. Madhu Banthia, organised Coffee & Conversations on Paithani, a thoughtfully curated cultural and knowledge-led engagement celebrating India’s iconic heritage weave, Paithani.

Held at Dyelogue Flagship Store, the event was designed as an intimate, interactive forum for FLO members to explore the cultural, artistic, and ceremonial relevance of Paithani within the context of Indian weddings and conscious consumption. Ms. Rachita Parekh served as the day chair for the event.

Session Highlights

The session featured an immersive storytelling and knowledge-sharing experience by textile connoisseur Ms. Mruga Kiloskar, who traced the historical roots, evolution, symbolism, and distinctive motifs of the Paithani weave. The interaction offered deeper insight into the meticulous craftsmanship, the legacy of handloom traditions, and the cultural narratives woven into each textile.

The engagement concluded with a curated showcase of Paithani sarees and dupattas, allowing members to experience the weave firsthand and appreciate its richness, texture, and timeless quality.
