FLO Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh, in partnership with Fortis Hospital Gurugram and Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), coinciding with World Cancer Day, aimed to highlight the significance of early detection, prevention, and treatment.
Ms. Ruchika Gupta, Chairperson along with Dr. SP Singh, Cluster Head, Fortis Hospital Gurugram, met Mr. Devansh Yadav, Municipal Commissioner, Jammu, to propose the initiative. Acknowledging cancer as a growing global concern, Mr. Devansh Yadav extended his support.
This follows the success of the Cancer Awareness Conclave, organized by FLO Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh, and Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram. The conclave was attended by over 200 women from urban and rural areas, featuring expert sessions by senior doctors from Fortis Gurugram. Discussions covered preventive healthcare, advancements in cancer treatment, lifestyle modifications, and surgical innovations, equipping attendees with valuable knowledge. JMC broadcasted cancer awareness videos on digital screens across Jammu the iconic Bahu Fort, ensuring crucial information reached a wider audience.
