FLO Chennai, under the leadership of Chairperson Niyati A. Mehta, successfully organised a Blood Donation Camp at Macheri Centre, Alwarpet, as part of the ‘One City, One Heritage, One Week of Giving Back’ initiative. This initiative was made possible through the dedicated collaboration with VHS Blood Centre, whose expertise and support ensured the smooth execution of the camp.
The camp witnessed an overwhelming response with 108 volunteers registering and undergoing preliminary health checks. Out of these, 67 members were able to donate blood, making a valuable contribution towards saving lives and supporting patients in need of blood transfusions. In this blood camp, college students, FLO members, and corporate members actively joined and contributed, ensuring its success.
FLO Chennai extends heartfelt gratitude to VHS Blood Centre for their partnership in this noble cause. Special thanks to Ms. Rinku Macheri, our past chair and head of Chennai volunteers, whose efforts in connecting this opportunity with the FLO Chennai Chapter contributed significantly to the success of the initiative.
