FLO Mumbai, under the leadership of Chairperson Pooja Arambhan Tiwari, hosted the second edition of the flagship cultural and entrepreneurial initiative, “Artisan Sutra,” created by the Rotary Club of Mumbai Elegant and supported by Rotary District 3141 and FICCI FLO Mumbai.
It is more than a curated marketplace—it is a market linkage platform designed to elevate artisan-led enterprises, women-owned brands, and purpose-driven design businesses. The event placed artisans and women entrepreneurs at the center of India’s cultural economy. This second edition of Artisan Sutra was spearheaded by a dynamic leadership team:
- Tehmina Khandwala – Past Chairperson, FICCI FLO Mumbai; District Secretary of Events, Rotary District 3141; Curator of Artisan Sutra
- Pooja Arambhan Tiwari – Chairperson, FICCI FLO Mumbai
- Pooja Soni – President, Rotary Club of Mumbai Elegant
- Dr. Manish Motwani – District Governor, Rotary District 3141
- Team of 20 Members – Rotary Club of Mumbai Elegant
FICCI FLO Mumbai’s involvement ensured that the platform championed women artisans, creative entrepreneurs, and small businesses through curated exposure and sales opportunities. Held at NSCI Palace Halls, Mumbai, this event aligns directly with its mission of women’s economic empowerment, entrepreneurship development, and expanding market access pathways for emerging and established women-led ventures.
Also, the event featured 70+ premium artisan-led and design-driven brands across categories such as textiles & designer apparel, home décor & interiors, jewellery & accessories, gourmet & artisanal foods, festive gifting & wellness, and handcrafted luxury and lifestyle products
Artisan Sutra functioned as a high-value sales and market acquisition opportunity, helping small and medium craft enterprises engage with urban premium consumers, retail buyers, boutique curators, corporate gifting leads, influencers and stylists, and hospitality and décor partners.
One of the highlights of the event was the felicitation of distinguished women entrepreneurs who have made a remarkable national impact in their fields. FICCI FLO Mumbai and Rotary recognized Ms. Naina Parekh, founder of EUME, Ms. Amruta Rao, National Award–winning Film Producer, and Ms. Seema Singh, a Social Entrepreneur.
