AceYourSpace the KonMari Way

YFLO Kolkata, under the leadership of Chairperson Ms. Ankita Chitlangia, organized an enriching workshop, “Ace Your Space” with Gayatri Gandhi, India’s first KonMari Master Consultant trained by the legend, Marie Kondo, herself.

Held at La Macario, the session introduced members to the philosophy of mindful decluttering and the transformative power of organised living. To add more meaning and purpose to this, it was done in collaboration with Dakshini Prayas, an NGO that holds an annual garage sale, the proceeds of which go to underprivileged children.

The workshop aimed to help members understand how clutter can directly affect happiness, productivity, and peace of mind. By learning the C2S2 Approach (Collect, Choose, Scrap, Store) alongside the globally celebrated KonMari Method, the objective was to equip participants with practical and sustainable organising techniques to elevate their everyday spaces.

The interactive, hands-on format created an engaging environment where members actively participated in exercises and demonstrations, including sustainable folding methods. This not only sparked self-reflection about personal spaces but also inspired members to adopt decluttering as a lifestyle choice rather than a one-time activity.
