FLO Northeast, under the leadership of Chairperson Ms. Rashmi Manchanda, successfully organised a six-day Career Counselling & Psychometric Assessment Programme for the students of Classes X & XI at Army Public School, Narengi, Guwahati, with the aim of supporting young learners in making informed academic and career decisions.
Students participated in the programme across two batches. The initiative was created to help students understand their interests, aptitude, and personality traits, enabling them to confidently select subjects and streams aligned with their future academic goals and career aspirations. The programme was executed in two structured phases:
- Interactive Group Session
Students attended an engaging awareness session covering:
- Understanding aptitude and interests.
- Stream and subject selection guidance.
- Emerging and traditional career fields.
- 21st-century skills and opportunities across science, commerce, humanities, design, defence, technology, psychology, and vocational pathways.
The session helped students explore suitable academic and career directions while gaining clarity on various pathways.
- Individual Counselling Sessions
Each student underwent a personalised counselling session based on a psychometric assessment. Guidance included stream selection, academic planning, competitive examinations, future career options, and long-term preparation strategies. The personalised format helped reduce confusion and anxiety while improving clarity and self-awareness.
