MoU Signed With SWAS Under Project Pragati – Powering Digital Literacy 

FLO Ahmedabad, under the leadership of chairperson Madhu Banthia, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the SWAS community, represented by Kinjal Shah, under its Digital Literacy vertical – Project Pragati. The initiative is fully funded by FLO members and supported by qualified teachers who conduct structured sessions on computer literacy, internet use, and digital confidence. 

Initiative head Shriya Damani played a crucial role in making this event possible. The event was graced by acclaimed actor Shefali Shah, herself an empowered woman who believes in the importance of upskilling. Her presence added depth and meaning to the initiative.

More than 500 girls have been trained to date, with a target of 1,500 girls. The partnership with SWAS will help young girls develop crucial digital and tech skills. It is enhancing employability, self-confidence, and independence among girls from the SWAS community. This MoU signing between FLO Ahmedabad and the SWAS community has already created a great impact through advanced training and mentorship. 

As a part of the Digital Literacy vertical, the event reflected FLO Ahmedabad’s efforts towards enhancing the digital skills of young girls and women. In this way, they can gain better earning opportunities and perform certain basic digital tasks without depending on anyone.
