FLO Jaipur, under the leadership of Chairperson Dr. Rimmi Shekhawat, proudly participated in the celebration of the 11th National Handloom Day as the Guest of Honour at Indira Gandhi Panchayati Raj & Gramin Vikas Sansthan, Jaipur. Chairperson shared the stage with Hon’ble Mayor Smt. Kusum Yadav and Shri S. S. Shah (Additional Commissioner, Industries & Commerce) for this vibrant celebration of India’s rich handloom heritage.
FLO Jaipur has played an important role in preserving India’s rich heritage of handlooms by empowering women artisans and enabling market access for their crafts through innovation and technology. The chapter has worked in collaboration with Weavers’ Service Centre to preserve traditional skills, support rural women-led self-help groups, and create sustainable livelihood opportunities for artisans.
FLO Jaipur also provided stalls to artisans and the Weavers’ Service Centre at the FLO BAZAR held on 13th August 2025, giving them an additional platform to showcase and sell their handcrafted products.

- A fashion show by students from top colleges, including JNU and Jaipur National University, where students designed garments using handloom cloth material provided by the Weavers’ Service Centre. Their creations beautifully blended heritage craftsmanship with contemporary design, showcasing innovation and youth creativity.
11th National Handloom Day was a day of inspiration, culture, creativity, and celebration, leaving a lasting impact on artisans, students, and the community, showing how heritage, innovation, and empowerment can weave a brighter, sustainable future.
