YFLO Hyderabad organized a 3-day retreat to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. 40 women leaders joined the journey. The retreat provided an opportunity for women to step away from their busy lives, reconnect with nature, and rediscover their purpose while forging deep, lasting bonds. Led by Ms. Ridhi Jain, Chairperson of YFLO Hyderabad, this retreat was a platform for women to inspire, empower, and celebrate one another.
The retreat started with a welcome at Port Blair. The group began their journey with breakfast at the Taj Welcome Hotel, followed by a ferry ride to Havelock Island, and ended the first day at Radhanagar Beach.
On the second day, the group set off for Elephant Beach and had lunch at Tilar Siro, hosted by Ms. Zeenath. The group gathered for a Boho-themed party at Symphony, where guests were encouraged to embrace creativity through face painting, hair braiding, and whimsical outfits.
The final day of the retreat began with a ferry ride back to Port Blair, where the group was welcomed by members of the FICCI Andaman Chapter. The retreat also provided an opportunity for discussions between YFLO Hyderabad and the Andaman Administration’s Lakhpati Women Initiative, aimed at empowering women through economic independence. This meeting focused on potential collaborations and ways to foster mutual growth through skill development and women’s empowerment.
The visit continued with a reception from the Women’s Wing of the Andaman and Nicobar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ANCCI), led by President Smt. Zubaida Begum. A felicitation ceremony was held at Hotel Lemon Tree, where President Smt. Zubaida Begum and Secretary Smt. Vrinda Agarwal warmly welcomed the YFLO Hyderabad team. Discussions centered around the possibility of establishing an Andaman chapter of FLO and exploring opportunities for collaborative growth and empowerment.
The day also took a turn with a visit to the Cellular Jail, a symbol of India’s struggle for independence. The final evening ended with a farewell dinner at Mavi. It was during this dinner that the winners of the Reel Making Competition were announced, with each recipient receiving a special memento as a keepsake from the retreat.
