Workshop on Parenting and Strokes Economy

FICCI FLO North-East, in collaboration with The Atelier, organised a workshop on Parenting and the Strokes Economy, at Hotel Novotel in Guwahati on 26th September 2018.
The workshop was conducted by Sonal Kothari, a practising psychotherapist and Parent Effectiveness Training (P.E.T.) expert from Bangalore. A parent coach since, the last ten years, Sonal is extremely passionate about her profession. She focussed greatly on giving and receiving care/strokes as a fundamental need of all human beings. Among other things, she explained that every individual has 3 ego states- if the child within, is taken care of then the parent is more equipped to operate from the adult state; thus every adult, every parent needs to take care of their own selves and become role models for their children – that’s the easiest and the quickest way to teach children!. The workshop was attended by FLO members and guests.
