Women Hygiene Awareness Program Organized

FLO Siliguri conducted a women’s hygiene awareness program for rural women at Mittal Gardens, led by Shivika Mittal. The event aimed to address crucial topics of personal hygiene and menstrual health, fostering awareness among underprivileged women. The event saw the participation of nearly 65 underprivileged women, who greatly benefited from the informative session. Around 65 underprivileged women, participated in this program and benefited.

Dr. Sweta Sarawagi Agarwala, a distinguished pathologist with over 18 years of experience and a member, was the speaker for the session. She covered the importance of maintaining hygiene, understanding menstrual health, and breaking taboos surrounding these subjects. As a gesture of support, the chapter distributed free sanitary pads to all attendees, further encouraging hygienic practices.

9 FLO members were also present at the event, contributing to its success. The initiative reflected FLO Siliguri’s commitment to community welfare and empowerment, leaving a positive impact on the lives of the women who attended.
