Women as harbingers of society

It was a packed event! On the 9th of September, Taj Bengal was bustling with a large number of our enthusiastic members who had come to hear Dr. Kiran Bedi and Mr. Pavan Chodhary, address the gathering. We were also fortunate, as Kolkata chapter of FLO was exclusively used as a platform to launch their book called “Broom and Groom”! The main theme of the event however was ‘women being harbingers of civility’.

Dr Kiran Bedi dwelled and emphasized on the fact that people should have clear cut goals as to what they want to achieve, then with discipline and dedication they should work towards achieving it ! Mr Pavan Chodhary elaborated on the book itself, using examples from everyday life to explain his idea of hygiene, cleanliness, grooming manners et al. He kept the audience bemused with his intelligent and witty repartee. The talk was followed by an intense question answer session, where there was active involvement from our members. The event ended with sumptuous tea and snacks.
