Woman on the Move-Breaking Barriers by Shaina NC

FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO) organised an event with the well known fashion designer and National Spokesperson of BJP, Ms. Shaina NC on “Women on the Move – Breaking Barriers”. The National President of FLO, Ms. Neeta Boochra was the “Guest of Honour” for the event.

Shaina NC said that politics is essentially about making a difference in the lives of the people and bringing about a change in the society. She said for women the arena of politics is all the more difficult and has many highs and lows. Nevertheless, a woman politician must always keep the end-objective of ‘making a difference’.

Ms. Shaina further said that it is of utmost importance for women to be educated and economically independent. They will then be looked up to with respect and esteem. Their husbands will then let them pursue the carriers they want.

The National President of FLO, Ms. Neeta Boochra said that women must change and adapt to develop their full potential. She said that women need to hone their skills and increase their potential of employability. The Chairperson of the FLO Jaipur Chapter, Ms. Apra Kuchhal said on the occasion as we move ahead to face the challenges of the 21st century it is very important to understand the barriers and remove them.

Earlier during the session a compendium of legal rights for women ‘Laws Affecting Women in India’ brought out by the National FLO, was presented to Ms. Saina by Ms. Boochra and Ms. Kuchhal.

Ms. Apra Kuchhal said the FLO members to be aspirational and chase their dreams. She also advised the women to encourage and inspire other women so that they are imbibed with confident to reach greater heights
