Whispers of Madhuwarli – Tribal Tales in Art

FLO Mumbai, in collaboration with Tissar and the Hena Happiness Foundation, organized a workshop titled “Whispers of Madhuwarli – Tribal Tales in Art.”

The workshop aimed to skill members in the traditional arts of Madhubani and Warli paintings, taught by local artisans, and to support the Warli Cluster. Artisans were also provided a platform to display and sell their products to the attendees.

Renu Kapoor, Past Chairperson of FLO Mumbai, emphasized the importance of preserving India’s rich artistic and cultural heritage. She encouraged showcasing this art at personal and social functions to help members become brand ambassadors, thereby promoting these art forms globally.

This art not only reflects India’s rich heritage but also provides livelihood and employment opportunities to the artists.

Local women artisans led the workshop, teaching design techniques and engaging members in creating their own art pieces, which they could take home as mementos.

After the session, the 32 members present engaged in networking and discussed their businesses.
