WE INITIATIVES

A legal advisory program for 250 ladies from the underprivileged strata of society to cover the whole gamut of legal problems they face in day to day life headed by a panel of eminent lawyers & FLO members.

WE initiative’s tie up with Ashok Kurien living foundation educates the girls/women about for the importance of menstrual hygiene and is making saafkins sanitary napkins which are 85% biodegradable and are reusable for eighteen months.

WE is training 16 women who work in municipal corporations for a two month intensive varied cuisine cooking course so that they can upgrade their skills.

WE has trained thirty women in the Behrampura area to make multipurpose and handy to carry stitch cloth bags to combat the plastic menace and also help the women who are under privileged to support themselves.

FICCI FLO AHMEDABAD in association with Indian Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) conducted a cookery workshop for jail inmates at Sabarmati Central Jail recently. We took this initiative to encourage women inmates to learn culinary skills that can give them sustainable livelihood options ahead. More than 25+ inmates of different age groups were present to learn the new recipes from IIHM chef. The inmates very well received the culinary training programme at Sabarmati jail inmates.
