Warps and wefts with weaver Rajen Chaudhary

FLO Ahmedabad organized an artistic visit to the workshop of master weaver RP Rajen who has the creative touch which immediately transforms tapestry weaving into a fine art.It was an interesting visit as he and his team of artisans showed us their innovative wall tapestries and durries, woven on hand looms.The yarn used was silk wool.The peices were verysmooth and light weight. His work spoke of his purity of spirit and simplicity.A perfect outcome of harmony between man and loom, which takes 3-6 months to execute with 11 hours of back breaking labour each day.

Rajen is the recipient of various awards, as his ‘ Transitions ‘ have been globally exhibited and appreciated globally.
