The VITALher workshop, organized by The Philanthropy Club of YFLO Kolkata, aimed to address essential health and wellness issues for young girls. Held at Dakshini Prayash on 9th December 2024, the event brought together 25 students for an informative session on women’s health, nutrition, and common health conditions such as Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOD). A qualified general physician from Apollo Clinic delivered a talk, focusing on the importance of proper nutrition, vitamin intake, and overall health management for young girls.
Following the educational session, the students underwent essential health screenings, including Vitamin B12 testing and a Complete Blood Count (CBC) test—normally priced at Rs. 1700 at Apollo Clinic—completely sponsored by Apollo Clinic, Prince Anwar Shah Branch. These tests are aimed at detecting any deficiencies or underlying health concerns, ensuring early intervention and care. With the support of Apollo Clinic, this workshop not only educated but also provided valuable health resources to the participants, emphasizing the importance of health awareness and self-care in young girls.
